Voter Registration Information
A person may register to vote by coming by the Elections/Voter Registration Office located at the following address:
Wood County Courthouse
100 S. Main St. #401 (4th floor, across from elevator)
Quitman, TX. 75783
A person may print out a voter registration application, complete and return to the Voter Registrar’s Office at the address listed above.
A person may mail a completed voter registration application to the Voter Registrar’s Office at the following address: PO Box 970, Quitman, TX 75783.
To be eligible to register to vote in Texas, you must:
1) Be a US Citizen;
2) Be a resident of the county;
3) Be 18 years old;
4) Not have been convicted of a felony, or if a felon, completed term of parole, probation, incarceration, supervision or have been pardoned; and
5) Not have been determined by final judgment of a court to be totally or partially mentally incapacitated without the right to vote.

If you move within the county, please be sure to update your address with the Voter Registrar’s Office. You may follow the same procedures listed under voter registration to submit address changes.
